What would be needed:
- Pair ordinary rubber flip-flops or slippers;
- Satin strip with 1 cm width (you pick the color);
- Pearls or beads with different sizes;
- Small sea shells;
- Hot glue gun;
- Needle and thread.
Put small quantity of the hot glue in the bottom part of the strap and attach the end of the strip.
After that start twisting it around the straps until you fully cover them. Don’t forget to hot glue the other end.
Next you take the strip again and wrap it up zigzagged in V-shape as it is shown on the image.
Be careful not to make the V too high. Wrap the strip without tightening or it will be hard to put your foot in the slippers afterwards. It will be a good idea to do test-fittings.
Start decorating the slippers. Put a small drop of the glue and then place the large and medium size pearls and beads, also the sea shells, before sewing them. Sew every piece twice before you go onto the next one.
Everything is done, now you can walk with your newly made slippers.
