INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/5 cups warm water
- 1 packet of yeast
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 cups flour, plus more for sprinkling
- 3/4 cups mozzarella
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
INSTRUCTIONS
- Mix the warm water, yeast, and sugar.
- Cover and leave for 5 minutes.
- Add the olive oil, salt, and flour.
- Knead until you get a soft dough. Tap it with your finger - if it bounces back slowly, the dough is ready to rise.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl. Let the dough rise at room temperature for 1-2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C / 400F.
- Shape the dough into a ball. Divide into eight.
- Roll out and stretch each piece.
- Place mozzarella in the middle of each piece. Close and pinch the edges to form a rope shape.
- Carefully tie the rope of dough into a knot.
- Lightly cover the knots and let them rise for at least 30 minutes.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- In the meantime, mix the melted butter, garlic, and Italian seasoning.
- Once the bread rolls are done, brush them with the garlic butter. Serve immediately.
- Enjoy!
